I’m reading this morning again about the stock markets, I’m hoping that the bad news comes all within a few days so that we can get started on getting out of this mess. That part though is going to take time and it sucks. I’m preparing for it by keeping options open when I graduate and reminding myself that I probably will not be able to find work. I still want to try doing it on my own, but so far no takers. Interior design services are one of the first things to go in a bad market.

For now I’ll wish I had an extra $1000 to invest with as now is the best time to do it if your young and can wait. I may not feel young but apparently 25 is young so I should be investing along with saving. It’s just too bad I don’t have the money to start. How are you preparing your self for the worst, since it’s not here yet, at least I don’t think so. If your in collage like me are you expecting a job when your done?

I’m watching the news and they keep talking about the AIG executives that took our taxpayer money and went to the spa. Now they said that what these men have done may put them in jail as they pretty much did the same thing that Enron executives did. I’m pissed as that is money that I, who can’t afford it, payed in and they took it and spent it.

Here is what I think needs to happen to these men is that they should have to pay back what was spent along with giving the tax payer their million dollar golden parachutes that AIG gave them when they left. Oh yes I could use some of that money! I think we need to start showing people like this that they can not take advantage of what the taxpayer has given them, they need to pay for spending money that was not theirs.

The other day I was watching the news and they had a thing about blacks in America and how this election could bring about more problems that do good. It seems that many blacks figure that nothing is going to change. I remember hearing one man I went to school with talk about how the only way that a black is going to make it in the world is to act white. Now personaly I take offence to this as not every white acts the same, many try to act “black” in some peoples eyes.

Here is what I think. We are all human, there is no difference we act how we act. Obama is acting like a politicion. He speeks well and dresses well. How is that not acting like a person. Apparently some blacks think it’s a problem for a black person to speek and dress well? Give me a break! Now before you go off on me wondering why I’m rasist, I’m not. I’m just stateing an obvouse thing here. It seems that whenever a black person makes it by haveing these attributes other blacks feel they have to put them down. This also happends with white people. Mostly when a “white trash” person makes it big.

One person I know said something that would work for any race, “If black people would stop complaining I wouldn’t hate them so much, they are annoying!” Now replace black with any other race and it still fits. We all have our issues and concerns. I think instead of making it a black vs white issue maybe we should just make it a whole society issue. Once we can stop reverencing people as a race and as fellow American citizens maybe something good will actually be accomplished.

I spent some time reading this morning and I was saddened by some of the things I read. People are selling most of their belongings just to pay bills and keep from losing their homes. Now I’m not talking about replaceable things like a TV or a mp3 player, but things that have been in families for generations. These things they will probably never see again. It’s hard when you have to go though things like this. Losing things that mean a lot so you is hard, I know I have lost many things over the years most of it was destroyed in a tornado that hit the shed I had my things in when I moved back from Texas. I flew back and was going to go back and get my stuff, but then it was too late.

Right now everyone is experiencing that loss and it’s so hard. Yet the president and other government officials think that we are just in a slowdown, what does it feel like to you, a slowdown or a recession?

I hate to see a company I worked for and enjoyed working for at one time be bashed in the news, but even I think this is crazy. Walmart once a again is doing something stupid they are suing a disabled women now I would tell you more about it, but yahoo sucks with only having video available that will not work on either one of my browsers. It messes up my firefox so bad it has to close and IE just shows a black box. I hate video. Even not knowing exactly what happened I’m still pissed. If you know what happened let me know please!

I know many people are hate walmart, but not all stores are like the ones you hear about. The first store I worked at had problems, but it wasn’t too bad. The reason I left was simple. I couldn’t move into management because of people higher then the store manager. Again no the stores fault, just dumb corporate types. Do I think walmart needs to make changes, yep I learned that at the second store I worked at, yes I went back. Really it wasn’t that bad.
