I got an email from a paid to blog site I have started using and I couldn’t believe what I read for this one opportunity. They were only paying $2 of which you get a percentage and wanted only PR 2 Blogs and above on their own domain. Seriously they are either going to get junk or no one, but these are the advertisers that think Page Rank actually means something. The ones that would rather see their pr increase instead of their traffic and sales. See everyone says Google has issues with paid links. But they don’t, they have an issues with do follow paid links. I know this, this blog is proof that they don’t like it. I was a pr 2. Now I’m a pr 0. I don’t care I keep going. I’m finding the PR requirements to be very annoying as PR does not show the worth of a blog. If it did big advertisers would pay much more attention to that then to what traffic a blog gets and how many readers they have.

Anyway here is my question if you had a pr 2 blog, did paid posting and paid to host your own blog would you do a 3 link 200 word opp for about a dollar. I know I wouldn’t.

As I have surfed the Internet the last few weeks I have seen many people writing about the new real rank and how it means nothing because it’s only for blogs. Well here is my opinion and if you don’t like it. I don’t care. Real Rank is just for blogs, so when you are comparing blogs it works. It’s real data from the blog you are looking at, not just some websites opinion of your blog or how many links you have coming in. It takes in to account traffic, used links and more.

Many people are still stuck on page rank. In fact I have had 2 people leave comments on this blog about how they will link to me to help with my page rank. I politely thanked them and told them I had been slapped by google and would not be getting my rank back. This blog gets around 100-150 visits a day, not bad, not great, but I think it’s a good amount. Another blog I have gets between 5-25 visits a day and it’s a pr 3.

What does that mean? Well that I have managed to get about 5 sites that are pr 3 or up to link to me. I don’t have many links to that blog and no one reads it so how is it worth anything? Just my opinion. Real Rank on the other hand will show how many people will actually see your product, link, review. The more people to see it, the more people likely to click that link to find out more.

I love real rank, and I will be using it to decide where I want to advertise my forum. I don’t care about page rank I want people to visit my site, not just have a static unused link to it.

I was not able to attend the IZEA town meeting tonight as I had not gotten all of my homework completed in time. Since was due tonight that took top priority. I did however read a wonderful blog post at Life Diversity about how IZEA is removing page rank from both Pay Per Post and Social Spark. This is great news as I feel page rank has lost all of it’s worth.

I have written many post about how upset I am at google and and today is the day the bloggers win. I’m hoping this trend will catch on throughout the Internet and pr will be dropped as the main value of a website or blog. Will it happen quickly? I wish, but I know it won’t. I’m I still mad at google? Yep, but I won’t go into a rant, I’m tired and it’s late.

So thats my happy news for today on this very slow blogging day for me. I spent the day babysitting and doing homework, that is why there is only one post today. Sorry. I’ll make up for it tomorrow.
