I do hate to say this, but the last few years I have not been as proud to be a US citizen as I was as a teenager, but I hope that with the changes that are going on I soon will be back to loving my country. I am finding that even though times are tough, people are still helping others out as much as they can. People still have good hearts, though I have noticed the crabby people are more vocal about their crabbiness lately!

If your one of many like me who really want to see the US back on top and want to help people you should check out this cool program called Rebuilding of America that you can invest money to to help get the economy jump starting. They have been around for 30 years and they have a great plan in place.

Most of their funds go to the housing industry that has really been hard hit by the loss of jobs. This will help not only construction workers, but will help with the real estate area and more. Many of the properties you will invest in are properties that were under construction, but lost funding. They do concentrate mostly on apartments, housing subdivisions and retail and office space. Really I can’t think of anything better to spend $25 on then this type of thing since it really could help so many people. The best part is when you invest you get a certificate of deposit from a reputable financial institution. The example they gave is Chase bank, who also is featured on their website. My mom uses chase for her banking and really they are always nice when we or I go in so this makes me feel safe investing in this company. Check it out and see what you think.

I have to say I am very impressed and after listening to him am am very sure I will be voting for him. I think he will be about change, and as he put it we don’t need to take a 10% chance for change. I was not able to vote 8 years ago I was 17 when voting took place, but 18 when Bush took office. I wish I could have had a voice, because I would have voted against him and I would have felt like I tried. Instead I am one of those who has struggled since I graduated to find work, pay for school and food and try to make a life for myself.

Obama’s plans for this country is what needs to happen, we need to take care of ourselves not try to pay for everyone else when we have homeless people and children that can not eat. I am tired of watching people with money get everything and complain when they can’t have that second or third home. That needs to stop and if your one of those people, think about how the economy is for you, now think about what it would be like to wonder if you’ll have food tomorrow? I’m sure you don’t worry about this.

I think though the best part of the speech was that Obama believes in family and parents being able to be parents, not working all the time to make ends meet, not worrying about money or how they are going to get their kids to and from school. We need to make a change, and we need to now or we are just going to keep going downward and things will just get worse.

He also stated that you don’t defeat terrorist by being in Iraq. he’s right terrorism is everywhere, you defeat it by sending the message that you are willing to look past differences, not enforce your believes onto others. Working with others is the answer, not going in with power and weapons and making people do as you want them too.

We as a country need to think, what about me? what about my children what about our lives, our homes, our issues? Why can’t we spend Billions on our schools and our health instead of on war and other countries that just use us so that they don’t have to spend anything?

The United States is on at a canyon, do we step forward and build a bridge across or do we sit down and let things stay as they are?
