I am so ready for fall and it just won’t come that quickly! I hate it. I want to wear nice warm comfy sweaters and get a new fun coat to wear as it gets cool. I don’t want winter, but fall I love, because you can cover up. I’m a large girl and summer stinks for me.

I do like the warm weather as right now it is saving our family some money, we have propane for heat and hot water and it’s about $1000 a month in the winter to heat our home. This year it could be worse, the sad thing is that we used electric heaters also last year and it was still that much. We also have a new home, it’s only about 3 years old so it should be okay when it comes to energy. This year were getting more electric heaters and buying some nice warm blankets and rugs, were going to be ordering them from finger hut because my mom has a card with them and won’t have to pay til January. Something we need right now to catch up from last years propane bill before the first winter one is due.

I wish I could help her out more, but gas is horrable and I have to get done with school. I just hope that I can get a good job or at least start a successful business and be able to help her out next year.

I was reading today about people who have moved to help reduce their gas intake. I guess I am not the only one who thought this was a great idea and that is a good thing. One women I read about moved because she lived 60 miles from her teaching job. Another lived 30 miles from his job. His choice was between food and gas.

It’s sad when it comes down to things like that, even for me it’s a combination of food and health or gas. I ate out so much over the last year that I didn’t lose much weight and felt horrible. Not good when your diabetic and trying to get off insulin. I do like the trend though as it means we are starting to realize that this is a problem and we have to change our dependency on oil. I personally hope that if I can buy this house that I can take my bike and use that to get to school when the weather is good. There is no reason why I couldn’t.

According to the weather thing on my computer it is 73 outside, this is wonderful and I love it! I grilled some turkey I went to the store and got today for lunch and it was so yummy. I love warm weather as I get energy to get things done and actually feel good for once.

The downside was I got so much done this morning that I was just not in the mood to do anything this afternoon. So I sat and watched TV. I ended up switching between a celebrate weight loss thing on E! and The Universe on the history channel. So at least I learned something and was entertained all at the same time.

I really do love days like this, don’t you?
