Are You Looking For Love At Work

 - by Holly

Many people believe that dating people you work with is a huge no, but many people do just that anyway, even I have. It didn’t work out well and I really could have used a guide book on dating at work, in my case it was in retail, but there I believe is more of a risk when you work in an office and are there for 40 to 50 hours a week working closely with people, office dating is something that I have heard a lot about and trust me it can be ugly if not done right.

Money worries

 - by Holly

I am finding myself wondering more and more about what is going to happen this year, I have one year left of school and I really want to be done so I can find work, no matter where I have to go. Unfortunaitly it looks like it may take a lot longer then most people thought which is what I feared would happen. As I said in my last post I am still going to be working on paying off my debt and I will be adding a donate button here as I have been asked to by a few people. Anyway I’m so worried that it may be to little to late and I may be screwed over anyway.

I know I’ll be alright but I don’t know about my parents they have a lot of debt and may not be able to get through this without help. I wish I could help, but I don’t have extra cash either. I’m going to have to think of something, I’m just not sure what I’m going to do yet. I may be haveing to sell a few things.

Searching For A Job Again

 - by Holly

I have once again been looking though the paper, online and everywhere else for a job. I have done a sales job search and interior designer search online and still nothing. I hate this economy and I hope it won’t effect me getting a job once it improves. I know I have been going to school right now, and that should help me when it comes to explaining what I have been doing the last 3 years, but I also have done this online stuff and I’m not sure how to explain that. Some companies may look at is as good intuitive as I found a way to make money when I couldn’t find a job.

Some companies though may find it a bad thing, and actually a few have, many have told me that making money online is the lazy way out of finding work and that it shows that I don’t really want a job. If I really wanted to work I would have spend thousands of dollars, that I don’t have, on websites to make myself show more in searches and so on. Frankly I think they are a bunch of jealous idiots because I have actually been able to make an income online. So what do you think, is it easy to make money or hard?

Need Some Cash

 - by Holly

I didn’t make much last month online and this month is looking worse. I think I’m up to a whole $70 with everything combined. I’m trying out some new things though and hopefully it will work out okay. The good news is I just finished my online class so I can now sell the textbooks from that. I hope I get more then I did the last time I sold books. I got a whole $.99 for each of the two I sold and one of the people gave me a neutral rating because it took too long to get there. They said media mail was fine. I guess they thought it would be there overnight anyway.

I’m still looking for work, it’s that time of year that I may get lucky and find something, but with the economy the way it is people are just not hiring right now. If it looks like I’m going to be stuck here I may see if the local clothing store is hiring or something. I really don’t want to go back to wal-mart, but will if I have to, if I can get in.

If I get my house.

 - by Holly

I was thinking that I may have to invest in a good pair of work boots if I get my house. I know I’m going to be doing some work on it and since I’m diabetic I would like to keep my feet attached to my body.

I got on line to look at prices and really they are not too bad. Everyone made them sound so expensive and everything. I guess I just am looking at it a little different. When it’s something you need vs something you want price doesn’t seem as bad. Hopefully I can get the house, I have to wait on that first and I’m being very impatient.

Fair Tax and what it could do for everyone.

 - by Holly

Last night in my presentation speaking class one student talked about the fair tax. He pointed out that some people who have a lot of money don’t pay any taxes because they have put it all in stocks. He also stated that having a fair tax would take care of this issue. I found this interesting and looked into it a little more at fairtax.org.

I found that having a fair tax set at 23% would actually provide more income for the government then the current tax system does. Now this tax would apply to retail items and the income tax would disappear. That means you would get more money in your pay check to offset the retail tax.

I like this because I then control how much I pay based on my input into the economy. This would also help with people who are paid cash for work as they too will have to pay this tax. I’m sure there is much more to it then what I have stated here, and I plan on doing more research, but I am wondering what you think of having a fair tax?
