Happy Birthday to me!
- by Holly
No it’s not actually my birthday, it’s my blogs birthday! I forgot about it until I received a comment on my last post. I would have remembered before the end of the day I’m sure but I’m happy someone said something.
Because it’s my blogs birthday this means I get to reflect on the past year and show you some of the post I’ve enjoyed writing the most. I still can’t believe it has been a year. A lot has happened to me since I started this blog. One being I was diagnosed as a diabetic just days after starting this blog. I was in the hospital for a week without a computer and going crazy because I had just paid for this blog to be set up and running, but I got out and was able to write about all of my crazy experiences, thoughts and ideas.
It’s been a long year and I plan on having many more long years for this blog. I love writing and sharing with all of you and I hope you learn something or at least are entertained by this blog. Okay I’m done with that part of the reflection. On to my favorite post. I’m only going to list 9 so if you have time check them out and let me know what you think.

How I spent my earth hour
- by Holly
After turning everything in my room off and lighting a few candles. I sat down and started reading a book I have had for a year but never read. It was a wonderful experience. I was so relaxed and just enjoyed myself. I loved it so much that I only took one electric break, after 9pm to make some tea and get my snack. I then sat and read for another hour.
This was a great experience for me and I think it is something I’m going to try to do at least once a month. I think next time I’ll head to the library for the book as the one I’m reading now will be finished by tomorrow. When I’m done I’ll write a review about it. I really can’t explain how relaxed and unstressed I am right now. It’s strange how things happen is it not?
